About the Jackson French Quarter Dixieland Band
The Jackson French Quarter Dixieland Band was
formed in 1984, when a group of Consumers Power (Jackson, Michigan)
co-workers discovered a mutual interest in
Dixieland jazz. The group
has operated continuously since then, playing about once a week, and
performing at private birthday and anniversary celebrations, reunions,
weddings, funerals, and other events.
Featuring a repertoire of over 150 songs, the band performs from
Michigan's Upper Peninsula into northern Ohio, and from Lake Michigan to
Lake Erie.
